CUY21 series machines are developed, manufactured, and sold by BEX.


CUY21Vitro-EX is a next-generation electroporator which can generate dual pulses. These dual pulses reduces the electrical damages to the sample and increase the efficiency to introduce DNAs, siRNAs, drugs, etc.  The cuvette electrodes or the special electrodes which can electroporate with the cells on the plate are used for CUY21Vitro-EX.

Features of CUY21Vitro-EX(Electroporator)

Dual-pulse Electroporation

CUY21 Vitro-EX has a hybrid system of high-voltage pulse, "Poration Pulse" and low-voltage pulse, "Driving Pulse. High voltaged Poration Pulse in short time pierces the cell surface. Afterward, repeat of low voltaged Driving Pulses electrophoreses target DNA or drug into the inside of the cell. High transfection and viability are expected with the best condition suitable for the cells because you can adjust the time and intervals of the pulses as you like.

A wide range of Application

CUY21 Vitro-EX is a high-voltage pulsing (>=900V) equipment and beeps to warn you about the danger before and during the pulse generation. CUY21Vitro-EX fits electroporation for suspended aminal or plant cells and for adherant cells on the plate or dish without the cells pealed off, moreover, for the research of iPS cells.

Impedance measurement

CUY21Vivo-SQ measures impedance between electrodes before and after pulse generation. Impedance measured beforehand reveals the current value through Ohm's law. That means the condition of voltage can be reset for the better one. Moreover, the impedance measurement plays an important role to concern the accuracy of the experiments (whether the present condition corresponds to the last one or not). CUY21 Vitro-EX provides you reproducibility provides the best applications which fit various samples. Fine move of electrodes adjusts the impedance between electrodes.

Automatic measurement of effective current and voltage

CUY21 Vitro-EX automatically measures and monitors the effective current and voltage. Your experiment is carried out more smoothly as a result of obtaining the accurate value of current and voltage.
 

Easy-to-Use

Cuvette electrodes

 ・BEX offers BEX cuvette with the gap interval: 1mm, 2mm, 3mm respectively. Each cuvette is recognized by the color of the cap.
・One cuvette provides one transferring pippet to treat the samples easily and rapidly
・BEX cuvette can be used for the electroporator of other companies.

 Electrodes for adherent cells

This electrodes are used for electroporation with the adherent cells on the dish or plate. The damages to the cells are reduced because 0.3mm tall legs on the edge of the electrode avoid the touch direct to the cells.
