LF301 can measure the impedance between the gap of the electrodes before fusion. Convective flow resulted from low impedance of the buffer for the fusion avoids the shaping of pearl chains of the cells. Thus, impedance measurement is an important factor to solve this problem. Moreover, impedance measument reveals the status of the buffer, which carries out reproductive expriments every time.
The time is only 5 micro-seconds to change AC, which forms the pearl chains of the cells, to DC, which fuses the cells. This results in the effective fusion because DC pulse is generated right after the cells forms the pearl chains.
LF301 can generate 2 kinds of DC pulses. One is a general square pulse, the other is a dual-polar pulse, which consists of two continuous pulses: + pulse and - pulse.
You can set and memorize the program to LF301 for the daily experiment to free you from every day setting. Moreover, DC pulse can be generated manually. Use the manual mode to search the electrical condition.
LF301 has 2 post-fusion AC. One is a general sine curve, the other is an attenuating sine wave. The attenuating sine wave fades amplitude out during the set time.
We have a collection of the electrode chambers for both large and small batches. Moreover, we provide the acrylic box to avoid contamination. For the nuclear transfer, we developed many needle electrodes. The chamber electrodes limit the number of operation at once. Instead, nuclear transfer with the needle electrodes is effective and saves time because the oocytes to be operated are placed in the dish. The fusion is more efficient as the quality of the oocytes is confirmed by eyes and bad oocytes are removed beforehand. We have the dish electrodes to activate oocytes.
